Volunteer Opportunities at Springfield Soccer Club – SSC
Field Lining / Set up – Help maintain Lines on the fields before games or make sure nets and flags are in place and ready for play. Check nets to make sure they are attached and properly secured. Weekly job!
Registration Committee Member – Work with SSC board on communication with the community, marketing, coordination of registration and preparing registration materials and information for each and every season.
Field Committee Members – Take ownership of SSAP Soccer Complex. Inspect the fields once a week, making sure goals are secure, nets are locked in, corner flags are undamaged and there is no trash around. Coordinate a team of volunteers each and every week through out the spring and fall soccer season to cover weekly mowing duties and maintenance. During the off season maintain a 9 day or less mowing rotation at the SSAP Soccer Complex.
Fundraising Committee Member – Create and organize fundraising opportunities for the club, such as car washes or restaurant profit sharing nights.
(New 2019) Indoor Season Coordinator (need one for girls and one for boys) – Manage the indoor season. Work with the Director of coaching to line up indoor leagues and tournaments for the club to participate in. Run the registration process and work on getting kids committed to winter soccer.
Special Events Committee – Coordinates club activities such as a club picnics or attendance at Storm games or other fun team/club building activities.
Community Committee – Coordinate club participation in community events such as parades, school and fair events through out the year.
Volunteer Coordinator – Help match the volunteers with the work needing to be done.
Concession Stand Manager – Coordinate and run the concession stand each season. This includes making up a plan for each season that includes a concession stand budget, product list, gathering volunteers to work the stand and making sure the stand is open during weekend games and for all NCC Home games every fall.
SSAP Board Position – Join the SSAP Board and help guide the club to further success. This opportunity is annually and there is a screening process involved.
Nebraska State Soccer Compliance Coordinator – Work with the Nebraska State Soccer organization to make sure the club is staying compliant with all the rules and laws of the game and state association.
